Join us for the Closing Reception of Art Galore, a vibrant exhibition of traditional Indian folk art curated by Swati Biswas, founder of Artsy Way of Life. This special event will feature a live performance of traditional Indian dance by Biswas, whose artistic practice blends movement, storytelling, and visual culture.
Art Galore showcases folk painting traditions including Midnapur Patachitra, Kalighat, Tikuli, and Gond — all rooted in themes of nature, myth, and community. The exhibition highlights the work of rural artists in India whose handmade techniques and centuries-old stories are often underrepresented in mainstream art spaces.
Through Artsy Way of Life, Biswas has worked to preserve and promote these traditions by organizing virtual workshops, producing curated exhibits, and facilitating dialogue between artists and audiences. Her work bridges the visual and performing arts, celebrating culture as a living, shared experience.
Whether you attended the opening or are visiting for the first time, the closing reception is an opportunity to experience these works — and the traditions behind them — in one final gathering.
The full exhibit is available for viewing during regular gallery hours through the day of the event:
