EventThem is proud to present Around the World, a month-long solo exhibition by Watertown-based watercolor artist Debajyoti Biswas, on view from September 1–30th. This vibrant and reflective collection highlights Debajyoti’s deep connection to nature, global travel, and cultural memory—brought to life through the expressive medium of watercolor.

Born and raised in Kolkata, India, Debajyoti began painting in his early childhood and trained under a respected artist at the Academy of Fine Arts. Though he pursued a professional career as a civil engineer, art has remained his lifelong passion. His diverse experiences across disciplines—and across continents—inform the richness and emotional depth of his visual storytelling.

The works in Around the World are inspired by Debajyoti’s personal photographs, travel experiences, and time spent birdwatching with his wife. His subjects range from serene landscapes and striking city scenes to moments in nature captured at golden hour. Each piece is a meditation on color, light, and memory—translating a fleeting experience into a lasting impression.
