DESCRIPTION:Flying Home: An Exhibit by Matt Hassan\, Presented by EventThem Studios\nOn view from June 2nd-30th\nAbout the Artist & Exhibit:\nI’m Matt Hassan\, born 최경수. \nIn the spring of 2025 I returned to Korea for the first time since being adopted. Previously l’d made art all my life\, but never in a way that connected to my cultural identity. \nIn Korea I experienced amazing people\, places\, and l also brought back traditional art supplies. Since getting back I’ve used them to capture memories from the trip and explore art making from a Korean adoptee’s perspective. \nThroughout June my solo art exhibition will be on view at EventThem Studios. You’ll find art that I created both before and after my trip to Korea.
